I couldn’t help but laugh as I have done this so many times myself . How many of my songs are about my ex boy friends who have dumped, cheated on me were A-holes (and how I bitterly vowed revenge by becoming so big they would have to see me in every magazine or on tv ,or just date someone better or were guys that just helped me grow up and learn ? a few.
Taylor swift is another one , listening to her songs that seem to paint a picture of the person shes dating and almost make you feel like you are the one in the relationship . Exes are the new muses, inspiring albums , movies and making us girls lots of money . So heres to the Ex . CHEERS

Rachel K Feat. 2Face!!!!

Im super excited to announce that my new song with 2face is almost done!!!! We met at the Ghana Music Awards in Ghana around April. He is a totally chilled out guy and we talked about mixing my style with his, which is already sounding SOOOOO GOOOD!!! He loved my whole rock transformation since the last time we met, i was still doing the RnB record back in 2007. Im really excited for this collaboration, and fans stay tuned as we release the song sometime during the summer!!!! Stay Rockin!!! xxxx

so right now my style icon is Sierra Kusterbeck. her style while she is rocking out on stage is soo vintage yet rocker chic. and that's the kinda look i was going for, for last nights world music day festival. Im always changing it though, one day i can be all high heeled out, the next sexy, and sometimes bad girl without a care!Too bad we got on like around 1am!!!!! not awesome at all, and the rain also didn't help out at all, but as a professional artists I rocked hard as usual.

 Apparently the last few new bands that i discovered online, the timing has always been either 1:30am or 2am in the morning and i find myself in bed like around 4am, cuz i keep on repeating these amazing songs, over and over. I think these are the best times for band searches and omgaaaaaawd!, they are some bands/female rockies that i never heard of and I pinch myself on asking why i haven't heard of them yet. I'm just so in love with this girl, Juliet Simms.

A little behind the scenes...

So im super stoked to announce that this Saturday!! Irene and I are gonna be doing a cover to WakeyWakey's Almost Everything. We totally love this new band we discovered and thought it would have been UNACCEPTABLE to not play it this Saturday at the world music day festival!! Somethings we did in rehearsals late last night around 11pm...

Desert Party...

I want to have a huge get together one day in the desert. Big white canopy, glowing gold lights to shine up the Middle of no where dancing, Liberating bug juice, games, someone doing tattoos, fire dancers and a big projector so everyone can watch a movie right before we pass out. The invitation will be a map to the destination and everyone can bring something to contribute. And no worries, I’ll think of a way to stop curious coyotes from coming and eating the goods and guest.

Sleep? What sleep??

Yup, "Stars without makeup, starring (drum roll please!!) Rachel K!!!!" Well I have a good excuse, I cant sleep! 

I’ve been in full on record-making mode for almost two months now. As creatively free the outcome may be, the process actually involves a massive amount of routine, such as (very) regular visits with my good friend HannaRealHanny, (dont ask), facebooking and blogging, 2 bottles of Sprite, frozen yogurt, no-care hair, And maybe biscuits. It also involves springing up (well… rolling groggily over) at 3AM to lay down the ideas you are bursting with in your half sleep. Thinking too much about anything in particular leads half of that whole sleep somewhere off in the direction of oblivion, so whole sleep has been something of a myth so far in 2011. Anyway, here I find myself yet again, wrapped up in a wonderfully puffy cloud (-:”/9) but unable to sleep because there is an idea in the way. Damn obstructive ideas. Actually, I think that might be a good thing.

I used to not like this chick when we first met!!
seriously, she would come to class wearing these 1940ish boots all the time to class!! and would always sit in the front seat in class, answer every question in class!! gosh such a show off!! but as time went by, i started checkin her out (not in a gay way) and noticed that she is really sweet and super smart. She also thought i was pretty cool (of course!) and we have been inseparable since 2007. I would be like whats your name "uh, serraine ,it rhymes with cocaine." feel special that u got a blog about u.
